Alex & Laura’s Wedding Cake

Massive congratulations to Alex and Laura. The couple chose to have their wedding set up at Taunton School as Alex is an Old Tauntonian.

Taunton School

Laura knew exactly what she would like for her design and it was my job to create her design vision into reality. Laura’s dream wedding cake was a three tier buttercream cake with birch log effect. She particular liked the carved initials on the cake.

The bride provided all the twigs and all the little daisy blossoms and the cake topper.

I set up all the elements on the cake and, of course, mini Easter eggs. The three mini eggs on top represented their lovely little family of three. I love the whimsical and rustic wedding cakes and this wedding cake was exactly that 😊

Wishing the lovely couple a happy life filled with joy and laughter xx

Chris and Laura

Laura and Chris’s wedding was held at Taunton and Pickeridge golf club, not far from my studio. They had blue colour and duck as their wedding theme. Laura chose to have a buttercream finish wedding cake in shade of ombre blue and of course Mr. and Mrs. Duck in rose gold metallic effect (their cute nicknames😊)  The clubhouse was decorated with blue ribbons and rustic log slices as their table centrepiece featuring the wooden duck ornaments.

I set the cake table with foliage and Gypsophila clusters and the cute bride and groom rubber ducks that Laura’s parents wanted to incorporate into the wedding cake which sat perfectly on the Gypsophila bush. The splendid view of the venue is really superb, set in idyllic beatiful countryside outside Taunton. One of the finest scenics of Blackdown Hills lends the perfect backdrop for the wedding.

Wishing Chris and Laura a happy life together xx

Sarah and Rob

My first initial wedding cake meeting was actually with Sarah’s mum and dad. Her parents booked a wedding cake consultation after attending one of the wedding fairs I attended. I took all their brief regarding wedding theme and colour scheme. When I finally met Sarah , She tolld me that she really loved the sugar ruffles detail to be incorporated into her wedding cake. I designed the cake with lace details inspiring by Sarah’s beautiful wedding dress. I love hand piping royal icing which was perfect for this silver themed wedding. Sarah’s parents kindly provided a cake topper adding a little twist to the wedding cake.

The wedding was at The Osborne Hotel Torquay which has the most fantastic sea views. This crescent shape hotel is one of the most iconic landmark buildings in Torquay. Leah Karen of  leahk.co.uk captured the stunning pictures of this beautiful couple on the seafront (3 minutes walk from the venue!!) You just can’t beat the beautiful wedding pictures on the beach.

You can view the full wedding cake picture with the topper on Leah’s blog.

Jordan and Ellie

Huge congratulations to Jordan and Ellie. The lovely couple got married in St Audries Park. This beautiful venue was set up in their sage green and white theme. When Ellie and Jordan came for my wedding consultation, we discussed their wedding cake idea. I designed this beautiful green and white marbled cake with Ellie’s requested elements such as the delicate sugar ruffles.

Ellie chose all white sugar roses to adorn her wedding cake. I love the combination of white and green colour.

It’s so fresh and subtle. The day couldn’t have been more perfect with gorgeous warm winter sun. From the huge bay window where the cake table located, there is an impressive view across the stunning grounds and of course the magnificent Orangery. Totally magical. Wishing the lovely couple a forever happiness.

Peter and Yolande

I love Peter and Yoland’s winter wedding. I find winter weddings are so romantic and have such a calm atmosphere. Peter and Yolande lived in Hampshire but were in love with the venue in Somerset and finally chose to have their wedding at Brympton House, Yeovil.

When we delivered the cake at Brympton House

The fire was roaring from the gorgeous fireplace in the reception room. The burgundy palette flower arrangement was superb. The couple chose crisp white and gold colour alternating their four tier wedding cake. Our mood board meeting certainly helped clarifying the shade of gold that Yolande loved.

The cake was adorned with small bouquets of fresh burgundy roses, ranunculus and dark green foliage.

The wedding cake was set up on the antique wooden table with small tealights in this truly magical cake room.

The decor is totally out of this world..well, this award winning Wedding and Events venue castle house is over 750 years old!!

I love seeing their beaming smile cake cutting picture. Wishing this gorgeous couple an eternal happiness❤️❤️

Mike and Sacha

What a stunning couple Sacha and Mike are!!

I had the pleasure of making their wedding cake which was set up at the stunning St Audries Park wedding venue.

The colour inspiration was from Sacha’s beautiful soft peach wedding dress. I paired the soft Champagne gold colour and blush pink/ peach with little detail of hand piped pearl drops to match her earings. The colour of the bottom tier ruffles matched perfectly with Sacha’s dress. They are truly stunning couple, like the prince and princess.
